Over the 2010 Martin Luther King Day weekend, Hands On Greater Portland mobilized more than 2,500 volunteers to participate in opportunities that honored the legacy of Dr. King.  Their hard work demonstrates that just a few short hours of giving back can make a difference.

Hands On Greater Portland started when a small circle of friends got together to help the homeless, tutor children, clean up public schools and fill other important needs in Portland.

Twelve years later, Hands On has grown to connect more than 19,000 volunteers a year with community needs throughout Multnomah and Washington counties.

There are a couple of ways to support Hands On: a one-time donation or a recurring monthly gift (Monthly Sustainers Club).
