Class
Description: This class covers the building blocks of
creating or managing a volunteer program in a nonprofit
organization. We will begin by setting the stage for a
successful volunteer program in an agency. Next, we will
move on to effective volunteer recruitment and the
application and screening processes. We will then cover
best practices in the management of volunteers, from
supporting volunteers to managing risk in volunteer
programs. Finally, we will learn practical methods for
motivating and retaining volunteers.
