Summer Break Is On Its Way and With Your Help, We'll Get
Families Out
Volunteering!

Hands
On will be promoting family-friendly volunteer projects this
June.
Have you
considered getting families involved in your programs?
This is a
great way to provide families the chance to spent time together and
pass on the value of volunteering to the next generation. At the
same time, you'll get more
volunteers involved in your program and make important connections
with your community.
Please contact us with opportunities at your agency
or to ask for tips on creating family friendly
projects.
Tell Us How
We're Doing...Tell Us What You Need!
Is Hands On
meeting your agency's needs? How can we improve? Please take
about 3 minutes to fill out this survey. And, just to add excitement, after filling out the
survey, your name will be entered into the hat for a drawing for a
prize!
Thought About Diversifying
Your Board?
The Civic
Leaders Project
addresses the lack of diverse leadership and participation in
nonprofit and public sector agency boards and commissions in the
Greater Portland Metro area. Its creation follows a
comprehensive research effort initiated by Innovation Partners four
years ago.
Since 2005, Hands On
Greater Portland and the Institute for Nonprofit Management (INPM)
at PSU have partnered to recruit, convene, train and match leaders
of color with nonprofit boards and public
commissions.
How to Get
Involved
To register for one of our
bi-monthly group orientations or to simply find out more about the
program contact Sean Files at the Institute for Nonprofit Management
at 503.725.8221 or at files@pdx.edu.
Information for
Leaders
If you are a leader of color or know
someone who might be interested getting involved with Civic Leaders
please contact Brenden Butler at 503.413.6413 or at Brenden@handsonportland.org. For more leader information
please visit Civic Leaders -
