Hands On Greater Portland's Accomplishments

From July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008, Hands On Greater Portland:

·  Made 14,848 volunteers connections

· Made 8,773 connections by creating volunteer projects

· Created 1,548 separate volunteer projects

· Connected volunteers with 263 partner organizations

· Engaged 150 Volunteer Leaders

Beyond the numbers. The impact of Hands On Greater Portland’s work:

· 89% of volunteers said that participating in a Hands On Project helped them learn about a community need

· 90% of volunteers said that participating in a Hands On project helped them to take action around a community need

· 95% of volunteers said that participating in a Hands On project made them more likely to volunteer again or take other action in the community
