MLK Day Celebration Through Service
January 17 - January 19,
2009
Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and
Clark Counties

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette advances
the common good by focusing on education, income
and health. By engaging our community in ways to
give, advocate and volunteer, we are helping
influence the condition of all. It takes the
whole community working together to create a
brighter future. That’s what it means to Live
United.
On the MLK weekend in January of 2009, join
United Way in living united by honoring Dr.
Martin Luther King’s vision of purposeful
community engagement. With the help of Hands on
Greater Portland, the United Way will engage
hundreds volunteers in a wide variety of service
projects to better our community. We want you,
your friends, your family, and your co-workers
to help!

Attention nonprofits! We're
in the project development phase right now. If your
nonprofit has plans to hold a project over MLK weekend, or
if you'd like to work with us to develop a project over that
weekend,
we want to know about it!
