Blazers Fans! Support United Way as a 50/50 Raffle Volunteer (age 13+) *HandsOn*

United Way of the Columbia Willamette is focused on breaking the cycle of childhood poverty in our region. Help us continue our work in the community by volunteering for the 50/50 raffle during the Portland Trail Blazers game on Saturday April 4th! United Way will receive a portion of the raffle money raised that night. Watch Basketball and help a nonprofit, what could be better?

Enthusiastic, people-oriented volunteers are needed to help us sell 50/50 raffle tickets before and during the first half of the Portland Trail Blazer game on April 4th. Proceeds from the raffle will go back to United Way and help us continue our work helping kids and families in our community. After helping to sell tickets, you will receive a food voucher at half time and if there are seats available (and there usually is) you will get to stay and watch the game!

We are seeking volunteers that are enthusiastic and excited to help sell raffle tickets that support our community. This will require volunteers to be walking around the stadium. Volunteers are expected to maintain a professional appearance and wear appropriate attire. All volunteers must be neat and presentable.

  • All volunteers will get a Live United T-shirt to wear during the shift (and keep afterwards!)

  • Comfortable footwear, as you will be on your feet for up to 4 hours.

Once you've signed up below, we will follow up with more specific information about the shift.

Project Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 18 must attend as part of a team with a parent or adult chaperone.

  • All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a Youth Volunteer Release Form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Please download, complete, and bring this waiver with you on the day of the project.

  • If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed. To add or remove team members from a project, click on "My Account" and then "My Teams," above.
