ARCHIVE Real Life Heroes Needed to Support Local Blood Drives (age 17+) Referral
Lifesaving treatments are possible because of VOLUNTEERS.
Volunteer support is critical in helping us continue to make opportunities to donate convenient and available in the community. We currently have 11 donor centers and 20 mobiles that collect blood throughout Washington and the Portland metro area.
Volunteers are especially needed at PORTLAND AREA blood drives!
Volunteers are needed in the following roles:
-
assist donors after their blood donation
-
greet and register donors
-
administrative tasks
-
couriers
For more than 70 years, the nonprofit Bloodworks Northwest (previously known as Puget Sound Blood Center) has been the trusted steward of the blood supply for patients at more than 90 hospitals and clinics spanning the Canadian border to Central Oregon. Bloodworks Northwest has a long and unique tradition of blending community volunteerism, medical science and research to improve patients' lives. Community support is vital to the organization.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity.
