Affordable Art for Everyone & Performing Arts Showcase (age 15+)

Creative Hillsboro is working to raise awareness of the arts and artists in Washington County, and to support artists and nonprofits arts and culture groups. Our first-time Affordable Art for Everyone and Performing Arts Showcase FREE event includes a special buying event where more than 50 artists offer high-quality work for under $100. Plus local performing artsgroups offer a sample taste of their art. In addition, family-friendly arts and crafts activities are available. The juried fine art and fine crafts will include paintings, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood, metalwork and photography. 


We hope you will sign up for a shift and then enjoy our event before or after your shift. We will provide beverages and snacks.

Shifts include:

  • 7am-11am: loading in 70 artists/organizations, proving hospitatlity/snacks to artists
  • 11am-3pm: booth-sit for artists while they take breaks, help with stage changes for performing artists, assist family arts & crafts activities
  • 3pm-7pm: loading out artists/organizations, event tear down and clean up


Volunteers are essential for the success of this big new event that is free to the public and of benefit to many local artists and arts organizations. As a volunteer you can be proud to help launch this cool new event as a kick off to Hillsboro's new October Arts Month.

Requirements:

  • Must be 15 years old or older to participate; volunteers younger than 18 years old must attend with an adult.
