Volunteer at Loaves & Fishes Central Kitchen (age 18+) *MLK 2012*
Be one of 2,100 volunteers honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to communities throughout the Greater Portland area.
Loaves and Fishes seeks to enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining independence by making available nutritious food, social contact, and other resources. Over 5,000 meals are served daily to homebound seniors and others at 36 meal sites.
Volunteer duties range from pre-plating meals, assisting in assembly line to the bakery, dishwashing and food prep in our main kitchen located at our headquarters.
Please wear long sleeves, pants, closed toes shoes (shirts can be short-sleeved, just no sleeveless shirts).

Project Requirements:
- Please fill out this MLK Adult & Youth Waiver and bring it with you to the project.
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to attend this project.
- If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
