Spruce Up Tryon Creek Park (age 6+) *MLK 2012*
Be one of 2,100 volunteers honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to communities throughout the Greater Portland area.
Come join us for an active morning at Tryon Creek State Park. On these days, we will assist with invasive species removal in this wonderful urban protected nature area. The mission of Tryon Creek State Park is to conserve and enhance the natural resources, and promote the educational, interpretive and recreational programs of Tryon Creek State Park. Please dress for the weather and bring your own water. Gloves will be provided.
Project Requirements:
- Please fill out this MLK Adult & Youth Waiver and bring it with you to the project. All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
- Volunteers must be 6 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 15 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
- If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed. To add or remove team members from a project, click on "My Account" and then "My Teams," above.
