Be one of 2,100 volunteers honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to communities throughout the Greater Portland area.
Do you love art, craft & environmental sustainability? Come join in on a fun work party doing a variety of projects to help SCRAP fulfill their goal of diverting usable items away from the landfill and into the hands of our community at a very low cost. Who knows what you may discover as you sort, organize and tidy up the retail store & workshop room. Guaranteed to be a creatively enlightening experience!
SCRAP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that inspires creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by offering affordable materials and educational programs to the community.

Project Requirements:
- Please fill out this MLK Adult & Youth Waiver and bring it with you to the project. All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
- Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 13 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
- If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
