Serve It Up for Seniors (age 16+) *MLK 2012*
Be one of 2,100 volunteers honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to communities throughout the Greater Portland area.
Loaves and Fishes seeks to enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining independence by making available nutritious food, social contact, and other resources. Over 3,500 meals are served daily to homebound seniors and others at 16 meal sites.
Join us in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King as we serving others by helping prepare, serve and clean-up a meal for the seniors who come in to eat at the center. Following the meal volunteers will have a chance to eat together and read the I have A Dream speech.
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Opportunity Requirements:
- Please fill out this MLK Adult & Youth Waiver and bring it with you to the project. All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
- Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to attend this project.
- If you plan to bring your children or other guests to the event, you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team. You can then sign up your team for this project
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
