Help Us Make a Shiny, Happy Clinic! (age 16+) *MLK 2012*
The mission of Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate primary health care to the communities of Washington and Yamhill Counties with a special emphasis on migrant and seasonal farmworkers and others with barriers to receiving healthcare.
Today, Virginia Garcia provides over 132,000 office visits to more than 34,000 patients a year in Washington and Yamhill Counties at our four primary care clinics, three dental offices, and two school-based health centers.
1. Volunteers are needed to help us spruce up the clinic with some spackle and a coat of paint, and to hang bulletin boards in the exam rooms. This is our patients' home; help us keep the clinic looking nice so they have a clean and tidy place to live!
No experience nedessary. Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Bring your family and friends! Project Requirements:
- Please fill out this MLK Adult & Youth Waiver and bring it with you to the project. All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
- Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to attend this project.
- If you plan to bring children or guests you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for ensuring that everyone signed up through your team attends - only sign up team members who have confirmed their availability. Teams that repeatedly sign up, but do not show up or show up with fewer volunteers than they signed up, may be removed.
