LOAC Mission

About the LOAC
Members of the Hillsboro 2020 LOAC originally came together in 2004 to help increase Latino community awareness and participation in the Hillsboro 2020 Vision plan (hillsboro2020.org).  The Hillsboro 2020 Vision, Hillsboro’s 20-year community plan, was adopted by City Council in 2000.  For over ten years, Hillsboro 2020 has served a catalyst for many tangible projects including the Venetian Theater and Bistro, events such as the Latino Cultural Festival, Hondo Dog Park, the Hillsboro Civic Center and Tom Hughes Plaza, community gardens, enhanced after school programs, the Glenn and Viola Walter’s Cultural Arts Center and many more.
