Enjoy Farms & Gardens? Grow Local Produce for the Food Bank (age 12+) *Hands On*

Hands On Managed projects offer you an opportunity to join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Volunteer Leader

County C.R.O.P.S. (Community Reaps Our Produce and Shares) is an emergency food garden grown on surplus Multnomah County property. The farm specializes in growing fresh, organic produce, which is then donated to low-income families in east Multnomah County. Our produce is distributed through SnowCap Community Charities, the largest food pantry in the Oregon Food Bank Network, to provide hunger relief in east Multnomah County.

The C.R.O.P.S. project is now in its fourth season and thriving with bountiful harvests, lots of volunteers, and numerous benefits for the community! Not only does it help people in need, it also gives people an opportunity to eat healthier. C.R.O.P.S. is dedicated to delivering fresh from the field, high value, local, organically grown vegetables to people who can least afford them.

Come join us for a day of good ol’ fashioned, get-your-hands-dirty garden work all for the benefit of feeding our community! Volunteers will assist with planting, weeding, harvesting and more (depending on the season). Be sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!

County C.R.O.P.S. farm is located in Troutdale, across the street from the McMenamin's Edgefield.
