Rigler School Carnival! Help & Have a Blast! (age 18+) Referral
COME BE A KID AGAIN AT RIGLER SCHOOL CARNIVAL!
Rigler Community Carnival is an evening of fun & games & food. It's a time for families and our school neighbors to come and enjoy some simple carnival-style games, where kids can win some prizes, dunk our favorite staff members in the dunk tank and enjoy such activities as the face-painting booth, the petting zoo, and the cake walk. We will have a raffle with several cool prizes, and an auction where we can bid on some really great items that have been donated from businesses in our community. In addition, there will be some vendors selling food, as well as our regular carnival treats of snow-cones, cotton candy, & popcorn. Entertainment all evening long is provided by a DJ, and then some performances by our SUN school participants. The goal of this event is to build community, have fun, and raise a little money for next year's school activities.
We're looking for an enthusiastic group of volunteers that want to come out and have some fun while helping us run the many carnival booths we'll have going! We need hep setting up, selling tickets, supervising all of the fun games, assisting with the auction, raffle, and plant sale, and working concessions and security! There's going to be something for everyone, and we ask that you come willing to be flexible as to where you're placed!
From ring toss, to bean bags, hula hoop competitions to cake walks, this is going to be one awesome event to be a part of! Last year, nearly 500 folks showed up to take part, and our volunteers play an essential role in making everything run smoothly.
Volunteers will be helping with a number of tasks; please be flexible, as you will be assigned to an area upon arrival.

Set-up: arrange tables, tape up signs, set up games, place garbage & recycling bins around, etc.

Ticket sales booth, game supervision, bean bag toss, ring toss, throw the ball, knock down milk bottles, dish toss (toss the bean in the dish & win that dish!) dunk tank, bounce house, hula hoop toss & hula hoop competition, four square competition

Help the auction, raffle, plant sale or cake walk coordinators

Face painting (simple designs)

Clean up: fold up tables, empty garbage cans into big garbage bins, take down signs, put away games, etc.
ALL VOLUNTEERS GET A FREE DINNER, to boot!
Rigler SUN School is dedicated to serving the Rigler Community with access to free or low-cost educational, health, anti-poverty, and other resources that level the playing field and help families thrive. Rigler SUN has been a crucial partner in Rigler PTA's annual carnival, which offers a fun, safe, family-friendly experience that celebrates our diverse school community. Volunteers are essential to making the carnival a success, and new/first time volunteers are warmly welcomed!*
