Help Move Plants at Garden Sale (age 10+) Referral
Like Plants & Gardening? Want to See Local Scholarship Fund Grow? Need Exercise? Garden Club in Cedar Mill Needs Volunteers with Small Trucks or Station-Wagons to Transport & Move Plants May 4th & 5th at 9th Annual Plant Sale to Benefit Scholarships & Conservation/Education Projects.
Volunteers will be needed May 4th at 6:30a.m. to pick up plants in Cedar Mill Area and deliver them to 122nd and Cornell Rd, S. side of street in the parking lot of the Cedar Mill Bible Church....
and on May 5th at 5:00 p.m. to pick up plants left over from sale, and move them back to Cedar Mill address.
Helpers will need their own transportation and vehicles, pick-up trucks or station-wagons, etc. to transport plants.
Please bring work gloves and wear work and weather appropriate clothing. Expert Cooks among Garden Club women will provide hot coffee and homemade cinnamon Rolls to volunteers for all their good effort.
The Cedar Mill Garden Club, is a non-profit. We provide programs that are open to all on horticultural related topics such as native plants, birds and wildlife, flower arranging, green living, gardening and sustainability. The club also goes on field trips and engages in such projects as providing a tree for Arbor Day and planting wildflowers and landscaping in the Cedar Mill Area. The CMGC holds a yearly plant sale to raise funds for horticultural scholarships, botanical gardens, re-forestation, and Civic beautification. Opportunity Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 10 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 16 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
