Sunday Trailways with THPRD (age 14+) Referral
Sunday Trailways on the Fanno Creek Regional Trail
(Garden Home Recreation Center to the west through Greenway Park)
Come out and help THPRD staff and the community celebrate trails!
Enthusiastic, outgoing volunteers are needed to help on the trail and at activity centers along the Fanno Creek trail. A variety of volunteer shifts and activities are available throughout the 4 miles of fun and fitness. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and swag bag. Snacks and water provided.
Ages: 16+ or 14+ with an adult.
Sunday Trailways Volunteer Positions:
Trail Hero- The most important position of the day! Encourage participants along the trail and help them safely cross bridges along the trail. Wear a silly hat or show off a hidden talent as you cheer on walkers, runners and riders.
Shifts: 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm
Mobile Trail Hero - Pedal the trail to help participants and provide support for other volunteer positions.
Shifts: 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm
Rec Mobile - Help THPRD staff engage kids in sports, activities, games!
Shifts: 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm
Bike Corral Attendant - Bring a friend and help keep bikes in the corral as participants enjoy the activities along the trail.
Shifts: 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm
Set up / Clean up of Event - Canopies, tables, chairs, banners and signs need to be set up and taken down. Join us behind the scenes and work with a team to make the event happen.
Shifts: 8-10:30 am and 3-5 pm
Survey Attendant - Help staff the information table and ask participants for their opinion of the event.
Shifts: 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm

Opportunity Requirements:

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 14 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
