Help out at the Cully Farmers Market (age 16+) Referral
Northeast Portland's Cully Community Market needs approximately 12 volunteers each Sunday from June through September 9th. Volunteers are essential to make the market happen! They greet customers, answer their questions about the market, help with special events, set up and take down market equipment, and much more.
Join us a for a fun morning at the market! There are several different shifts that you can participate in at the market, offering something for everyone. Join us once or come back multiple times throughout the summer. Express interest below and we'll be in touch to confirm you for a shift!
Volunteer Roles and Shifts:
Set-up- 8:00 – 10:00am. Unload our storage unit, set up tents, tables, and chairs. Place signage, arrange Info Booth, distribute durable dishes to food vendors etc. This position can include heavy lifting.
Information Booth- 10:00 – Noon, Noon- 2:00pm. Duties include answering customer questions, selling market t-shirts, raffle tickets and counting customers.
Break-down- 2:00pm – 3:00pm. Take the market apart and repack our storage unit at the end of the day. This includes taking down tents stacking chairs, removing signage, and helping pack up the Info Booth materials.We also gather food donations from vendors to distribute to the food pantry.
Cully Community Market mission is to make affordable, healthy food available in our community, to bring neighbors together, and to create a place where people can sell or trade the things they grow or make in our neighborhood. This outdoor market is a community gathering space, nurturing cross-cultural relationships and economic opportunity in our neighborhood.
