Restore the Mitchell Creek Area (age 8+) *MLK 2013*

Join Hands On Portland, Portland Parks & Recreation and other community members to plant a variety of native plants in the lovely Mitchell Creek Natural Area!
The site is a high-priority restoration site that has been previously cleared of invasive Himalayan blackberry and we are excited to work with community volunteers to improve fish habitat for the nearby Mitchell Creek.
Please wear long pants, warm clothes and bring rain gear and a water bottle.
Tools, gloves, water and treats will be provided.
Project Requirements:

You must be 8 years of age or older to attend this project; any volunteer under age 14 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.

All volunteers are required to sign an MLK Volunteer Waiver (print it now, fill it out, and bring it with you to save time during project check in). Volunteers under 18 are required to bring a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.

If you plan to bring children/additional volunteers you MUST reserve slots for them. The best way to do this is to create a Volunteer Team, then sign up your team for this project. Questions? Email teams@handsonportland.org
