Native Plant Center Volunteer Saturday (age 12+) Referral
Join community volunteers at Metro's Native Plant Center in Tualatin to learn to propagate native plant species and plant native bulbs or pot up natives for future plantings at Metro's natural areas.
Activities go on rain or shine, so depending on what Mother Nature has in store for this day, volunteers may help harvest native camas and lily species bulbs, and plant native bulbs into grow-out beds.
Come and learn about the species that Metro is working with to help restablish Oak and prairie habitats throughout the Metro region.
Volunteers harvest and clean seed, harvesting bulbs, planting seeds, maintain native grow-out beds, learn propagaton techniques, and work with herbaceous species from the region's prairie, oak, riparian and forested habitats.
No experience necessary. Gloves and tools provided.
Opportunity Requirements:

Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 13 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
