Marshall Park Garlic Mustard Pull (age 10+) Referral

Join us on Saturday, April 27th, 8:30am-12:30pm!

Join Portland Parks and Recreation at Marshall Park to pull garlic mustard and ivy from sensitive riparian areas in a beautiful SW Portland Park.  Garlic mustard is an invasive weed that is allelopathic- it produces chemicals that harm native plants.  Pulling it helps the city use less herbicides in our parks.  This is a beautiful location.

This event is part of Tryon Creek's Watershed Wide Event, so volunteers will meet first at the Riverdale Highschool for a light breakfast, check-in, and welcome rally. Volunteers will leave (carpooling encouraged) at 9AM to the site in Marshall Park.  The event is sponsored by The Tryon Creek Watershed Council, Portland Bureau of Environmental Services and Portland Parks, West Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District, and Southwest Neighborhoods Inc.
