Letter Carrier's Annual Food Drive (age 14+) Referral
This one-day food drive raises more than 1 .5 -million pounds of food for hunger-relief in Oregon and Clark County, Washington. Letter Carriers across the country will collect food donations as they deliver mail along their route.
Come help sort and pack donated food at post offices throughout the Portland metro area! This food will be distributed throughout the Oregon Food Bank Network, to hundreds of agencies. Without your support, this effort would be impossible.
Adopt-a-route Volunteer Drivers help collect food donations around the neighborhood and drive them back to the Post Office. This is a huge help to the Letter Carriers and our area of greatest need! Post Office Volunteers help unload these donations and package them to send back to OFB.
Volunteers must be comfortable standing, being outdoors, bending and lifting. Multiple 3-hour shifts available throughout the afternoon and early evening.
Due to post office regulations, advance registration is required through the OFB website.
The Oregon Food Bank is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and its root causes. Food from a variety of sources moves through our warehouses to a network of 18 regional food banks across Oregon and 3000 local agencies in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties as well as Clark County, Washington. www.oregonfoodbank.org

Volunteers must be age 14+ (16 w/out adult) for the Post Office and age 18+ (12+ for passengers) for Adopt-a-Route volunteer positions.
