Prep Bikes for Kids (age 13+) *MLK 2014*

Hands On Managed projects offer you an opportunity to join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Volunteer Leader

Join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to our community: "Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve."
-- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The mission of the Community Cycling Center is to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits through our hands-on programs, neighborhood bike shop, and volunteer projects.

Come help the Community Cycling Center clean (or recycle) donated bikes! (No mechanical experience is required; tools & supplies provided.) The Cycling Center works to refurbished hundreds of bikes every year and during this activity, we will clean bikes destined for children ages 3-8 years old. By refurbishing used bikes, Community Cycling Center is able to provide low-cost access to bicycles for Portlanders who faces financial barriers. Reusing bikes keeps them out of landfills and into the lives of kids and families who choose bikes to stay active, healthy and connected to their communities.

**IMPORTANT: Closed-toe shoes required. And we may be working in the outdoor shop area, so please dress for the weather!
