Restore Natural Areas: Care for Native Trees! (age 6+) Referral

As a volunteer you'll learn native plant identification and care techniques with Friends of Trees staffers and volunteers, as well as help protect these new native plants through mulching recently planted trees and shrubs and removing competing invasive plants.  Without these efforts these newly planted natives would have a lower survival rate through their first season.  Meet great new people, learn tree skills, and make a difference in just a few hours!

Please arrive around 8:45am to sign in and get assigned to a crew. The tree care event will start promptly at 9am. We'll provide some breakfast snacks and coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes and get ready to have fun!

For more information about Friends of Trees please see our website, http://friendsoftrees.org/ or call Jenny or Ian at (503) 595-0213.
