Garden Work Party! (age 14+) Referral

Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District is a special service district that provides parks and recreational opportunities and services for citizens of all ages in Beaverton and other ares of eastern Washington County.

There are many ways to get involved, including:

-- Join us for our annual Spring Native Plant Sale on Saturday, April 25! Help out with event set up and tear down, greeting patrons and customer assistance.  Lunch will be provided for volunteers at the Spring Native Plant Sale!

-- Help maintain the gardens surrounding the Nature Park Interpretive Center! Activities could include pruning, weeding, mulching and general clean-up. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided at garden work parties.

Volunteers should bring a re-usable water bottle to drink from throughout the day and wear clothing that's appropriate for working outdoors.

Opportunity Requirements:

• Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older to attend this project.

Court ordered volunteers: please contact the Opportunity Coordinator below at least 48 hours prior to the event.

* This is a Referral Opportunity, which means it is run directly by one of our nonprofit partners. Once you express interest, someone from the partner organization should follow up with you shortly to discuss confirming you as a volunteer for this opportunity.

* Please note, your hours may not be recorded in your Hands On Greater Portland account since this is a partner-managed opportunity.
