Friends of the Library Spring Used Book Sale in Gresham (age 16+) Referral

Surround yourself with books and fellow book lovers as a volunteer at our Spring Used Book Sale in Gresham, April 11-13, 2014. The twice-yearly book sale is one of our largest fundraisers, and we could not possibly hold this event without volunteer support from people like you. Proceeds of the sale directly support the Multnomah County Library system.

Our open volunteer positions can meet a wide range of personalities - from the outgoing greeter and membership sales person, the ever helpful Hospitality and or At-Large (fills in where needed) person, to the unobtrusive physical work of restocking books, and helping clean up and straighten at the end of the day.

Volunteer shifts are 3-4 hours and are available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; express interest and we'll send you more information!

Volunteers should be 16 or older and some volunteer work requires sitting and/or standing during your shift.

The Friends of the Multnomah County Library (FOL) advocate for and support our outstanding public library. We are committed to raising the standard of excellence of our library by funding programs and services beyond what is allocated in the operating budget. We also sponsor activities which bring together people who value libraries.

By volunteering at our Spring Book Sale, you are helping the FOL raise funds to continue our support of the Multnomah County Library system. We use these funds to develop new and support existing programs for the community, development initiatives for library staff, and community events and activities that bring together book-loving people of all ages.
