Opportunity Details

Spruce Up the Springwater Corridor (age 5+) *STW 2014*

Help beautify the much-used Springwater Corridor Trail! We'll be removing invasive species, such as English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, to help the native plants thrive. This area is within the Johnson Creek Watershed and the removal of the invasive species and encouragement of the native species will limit the erosion into the creek and encourage healthier habitat for wildlife.

Please wear long pants and sleeves to avoid blackberry thorns. Sturdy shoes are a must!

We'll provide the tools to do the job, water, and hot drinks to keep everyone warm. Bring a water bottle if you have one!

Volunteers aged 16-17 are welcome to attend on their own - please bring this waiver completed in addition to the Hands On waiver:
