Activity & Meal Hosts for VOA's Recovery Block Party (age 12+) Referral

Experience a community achieving a new way of life by celebrating recovery with 300-400 clients, families, alumni, and neighbors.  Volunteers will be paired up with one another to host a family-friendly activity. Get involved with a friend or family member and you can host together!

Choose from:

  • serving meals

  • assisting face painter or baloon artist

  • overseeing bounce house

  • making shaved ice or cotton candy

Your support helps MRC to provide quality engagement of current and past clients & their families and increases community outreach.  Enjoy a meal, festive atmosphere, and see first-hand how effective recovery is changing lives.

Description of MRC Program:  MRC’s mission is to provide treatment, education and prevention both to our participants and to the larger community.  Our efforts are validated as individuals choose recovery and are able to rebuild relationships with their families and become better dads, husbands and sons.  MRC embraces a culture of celebration and recovery.  Our participants and alumni are honored and celebrate recovery in a multitude of ways.  Through coming to our annual block party, picnics, alumni celebration, or playing on our alumni clean and sober softball team, individuals here discover how to celebrate life without the use of substances.
