Lend a Hands at the Green Neighborhoods Festival (age 18+) Referral
To live with nature and with each other is the basis for sustainable human existence.
The mission of The Center for a Sustainable Today is to foster sustainability in all aspects of life through projects, programs & events that emphasize education, awareness, & action.
This August, we will be hosting our annual Green Neighborhoods Festival, and we're in need of some help with set up, clean up, monitoring recycling and helping at information booths. Help before, during, or after, and enjoy the festival the rest of the time! Shifts are as follows:
9am - 11am Set up Crew
11am - 2pm Recycling Attendant Shift 1
11am - 2pm Booth Attendant Shift 1
2pm - 5pm Recycling Shift 1
2pm - 5pm Booth Shift 2
5pm - 7pm Clean up CrewCome enjoy the festival and then stay help us put away signs, fold tables, gather chairs, etc.
The Green Neighborhoods Festival helps to catalyze habitat restoration greenway projects in the neighborhoods of Portland. The festival is a family fun event with music, food, kids activities and sustainable living workshops. View more info about the festival on our website: http://greenneighborhoodsfestival.org/
The Festival is in the street on N Kerby next to peninsula Park. Check in at the "Festival" booth.
Dress for the weather. Volunteers who work at certain shifts during the festival may be given a festival tee shirt to wear.
