Put Down Roots in Tualatin (age 5+) *MLK 2015*
Join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. King through meaningful service to our community: "Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve."
-- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Tree planting is one of the most enjoyable volunteer opportunities! You can get dirty, breathe fresh air, meet new people and enjoy a sense of achievement at the end of the day as you look at the next generation of trees.
By putting down roots in Tualatin you will have a direct impact on stream health, biodiversity, and the future of our environment and neighborhoods! Our goal is to plant 10,000 trees within the Tualatin River watershed!
Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and dress for the weather (e.g. warm layers and a rain jacket or sunscreen).
Gloves, tools, guidance, drinks and snacks are provided. Just for fun, join in on the scavenger hunt in the forest for prizes. Want to bring a big group? Please use the "Email" button below to check in with the coordinator first.
