Tryon Creek Watershed Wide Event! (age 6+ with adult)

At Tryon Creek Watershed Council, we work to restore and improve the habitat of our unique urban watershed, home to native fish and wildlife. Join us for our 11th Annual Watershed Wide Event - we'll all come together, have fun, and do good work!

We’ll gather as a big group for coffee, breakfast snacks, and cheering, then split up to several sites across the watershed for volunteer work parties. Work parties will include invasive plant removal and native plant planting. We’ll bring tools, snacks, and food – you bring your energy and volunteer power!

More info: Please dress for the weather (we’ll work rain or shine!), wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty! The event is family friendly and all ages are welcome to participate; however, children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. Volunteers will work at various project sites throughout the watershed, each of which will have a site leader to guide your work.

Does your company encourage volunteerism, or do you have a kid who's a troop member? We love groups! Our registration page allows one point person to register for a group.

Time/Location:

Saturday March 14th, 2020 - 8:30am - 12pm

Various! We will meet at the Gym Lobby at Riverdale High School (9727 SW Terwilliger Blvd) for coffee, breakfast snacks, and celebration; at 9:15 we'll disperse to sites via hike or carpool!
