About the Film
This documentary series and multimedia initiative by the producers of
UNNATURAL CAUSES: Is Inequality Making Us Sick? explores how a strong start for all our kids leads not only to better individual life course outcomes (learning, earning and physical and mental health) but also to a healthier, safer, better educated, more prosperous, and more equitable America.

Following the screening there will be a panel and audience discussion of local issues and what we can do as a community to make our region the best place for kids and young families to grow and to prosper. Panel speakers include Zeke Smith, Chief Impact Officer with United Way of the Columbia Willamette, Dana Hargunani M.D., F.A.A.P, Child Health Director for the Oregon Health Authority, and Andrea Paluso, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Family Forward Oregon.

About the Vl Program and Social Cinema
