Stewardship Saturday: Wilkes Creek Headwaters (age 14+, 1+ if attending with an adult)

The mission of the Columbia Slough Watershed Council is to protect and enhance the Columbia Slough and its watershed through community engagement, education, and restoration. Volunteers will be contributing to restoring natural habitat in the Columbia Slough watershed and stewarding our land and water for the benefit of wildlife, plants, and people.

Restore the Habitat & Make a Difference in East Waluga Park!​ (age 13+, 2+ if attending with adult)

Join Friends of East Waluga Parks and remove invasive species that crowd out native species. Allow extra time to wander forest trails that lead to the old quarry and that also connect to West Waluga Park. Please dress for the weather and wear closed toe shoes. Bring water and gloves. No experience needed.

WATERSHED WIDE - Biggest restoration event of the year !!

Join us for Johnson Creek Watershed Council’s largest restoration event of the year - the 22nd Annual Watershed Wide Event!

Johnson Creek is an incredibly unique urban waterway that is home to a lot of very special wildlife (including threatened and endangered salmon!) There is a 25 year legacy of grassroots progress to restore, repair, and clean this 26 mile long watershed-all by wonderful humans who love it (like you!) Help us support this awesome place as we weed, plant, and mulch for a healthier watershed.

Saturday, March 7, 2020
8:45am-12pm
– 10 Restoration Work Parties to choose from throughout the watershed (see website for details)!
12:15pm - 1:15pm – Free thank you lunches provided in 2 locations, (one at Portland Mercado in Portland, one catered by Tortilleria y Tienda De Leon in Gresham)

This is a family friendly event. Tools, snacks, and training provided!
