IRCO November Bazaar

Saturday, November 23 from 10AM-4PM.

Join us at our inaugural event hosting handmade goods by makers from the local and international community, including live music and an art gallery. Providing a space to feature the creative work of pan-immigrant and refugee artisans. We are looking for artisan fair volunteers for "From These Hands - IRCO November Bazaar".

Time/location - 2 shifts:
9:30AM-1:00PM (3.5 hours) - 4 people
1:00PM-4:30PM (3.5 hours) - 4 people

Roles will be assigned onsite. Roles may include:
Set-up / Teardown
Attendance counter
Vendor / Staff assistance
Merch inventory and sales (no money handling involved)
Food and beverages will be provided. A t-shirt will be shared for your shift.

The event is FREE to the public. Hosted by the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization. Located in the gymnasium at the IRCO Sokhom Tauch Community Center, 10301 NE Glisan St. Portland, OR 97220. Parking is free.​



Improve Natural Areas with THPRD (age 14+, 10+ if attending with an adult)

 

Learn about nature in your own backyard while spending the morning in a beautiful park! THPRD Nature Improvement projects range from pulling English ivy and removing Himalayan blackberry to planting native species in our area parks.

Volunteers will be provided all work tools and some snacks; please bring your own reuseable water bottle to drink from during the project. Bring your family, come with a group, or come by yourself and meet new people!

Plant trees with Friends of Trees! (age 16+, 6+ if attending with an adult)

Friends of Trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution: Planting trees. Together.

At this event we'll be planting trees in Oregon City neighborhoods -- lots of tree-planting help is needed to make this event a success -- learn how to plant and contribute to cleaning the area's air and water, all in a few short hours!
