Bulletin Board 9/7: Natural Area Restoration, AIDS Walk

Restore the Natural Areas of Barrows Park with New Seasons Market (age 14+)

Join New Seasons as they partner with Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District to restore the natural areas of Barrows Park. Activities will focus on removing trash from the stream corridor. New Seasons will provide coffee and donuts before the start of the project, between 8:30 - 9 a.m. Please bring a re-usable water bottle to drink from throughout the event. Tools, gloves, snacks and a water cooler will be provided.

AIDS Walk volunteers (multiple assignments available)​ (ages18+) 

Today, we are one of the oldest and largest AIDS service organizations in the nation. We could not do our work without the support of our committed and vibrant volunteers. Each year, nearly 500 volunteers support CAP in a number of ways, including special events, HIV testing, reception, social media, and internships. Thank you for considering CAP for your volunteer service! For the 2019 AIDS Walk, volunteers will help with event setup, registration, food booth shifts, and more!

Time/Location:
Saturday, September 7th 2019
The event runs from 5am-3pm, with most shifts ranging from 3-4.5 hours.

OMSI Mini Maker Faire Event Volunteer (ages 14+, 11+ if attending with an adult)

OMSI’s annual Mini Maker Faire is fast approaching, and we need your help! This event is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making and share what they are learning. Volunteers assist the Makers as they present their creations to the community. They will also help visitors navigate the event’s many attractions, create a fun and friendly atmosphere, and much more. Join in the creative fun while giving back to the community!
