Virginia Garcia is a catalyst for change in health care delivery. The mission of the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate primary health care to the communities of Washington and Yamhill Counties with a special emphasis on migrant and seasonal farmworkers and others with barriers to receiving healthcare.
Project Description
Volunteers will help spruce up the Virginia Garcia Beaverton clinic. The clinic delivers primary health care and pharmacy services to more than 7,800 patients a year. Physicians, registered nurses and medical assistants serve patients in 50 different languages in the Beaverton area.
Volunteers are needed to help prep and paint patient rooms that are most in need. While the paint is a low VOC it still has an odor, so must be able to stand the “fresh paint” smell. Prior painting experience preferred. If you have any available, please bring stepstools, 6 ft ladders to reach the top of the 8ft ceilings and small to medium sized fans.
