Description:

Portland Habitat for Humanity does not build home for people but with them as equal partners. Home owners must invest 500 hours of sweaty equity into the building of their home. The homes are the sold for around no profit and through no interest loans. Homeowner's monthly morgage paymenst go into a revolving fund for Portland Habitat for Humanity.

Our mission is to build partnerships among volunteers, families and the community to transform lives and revitalize neighborhoods by enabling families in need to earn and own a simple, decent, affordable home.
