| Referral: Women in Trades Career Fair |
Agency: Oregon Tradeswomen
Description:
At our annual Women in Trades Career Fair (May 14 - 16), women and girls have the opportunity to discover the excitement of high-paying construction-related careers. They have the opportunity to meet employers and other tradeswomen, participate in workshops and demonstrations, learn about trading opportunities and much more.
Volunteers power the Fair, performing a variety of jobs for us. We're looking for folks to fill all sorts of positions, from youth tent assistants to floaters, to volunteer check-in, registration, and set-up/tear-down. As a volunteer, you will gain: opportunities to network with employers and successful tradeswomen; free lunch and beverages for each day that you volunteer; a free official 2009 Women in Trades Career Fair t-shirt and metal water bottle; and satisfaction knowing you are supporting the next generation of tradeswomen!
Volunteer shifts are typically four hours long (though we welcome volunteers who can commit any length of time). Shifts tend to break down into early morning, mid-morning to mid-afternoon, and afternoon.
Click "Have Agency Contact Me" to get more information and request a shift or two!
