| Spruce Up Laurelhurst Park |
Agency: Friends of Laurelhurst Park
Description:
Friends of Laurelhurst Park welcome your help!
We have a range of projects...the primary activities are removing invasive species (mainly ivy) and light pruning. Depending on the season and what needs attention, we also may participate in planting native species, litter patrol, painting picnic tables, leaf raking and mulch spreading.
Laurelhurst Park is Portland's only designated historical park and has an unusual array of horticultural plants and tree species. The pond and all the plants make this a special gathering spot, but also requires extra care to keep it up.
Come join in...theres always something that needs volunteer TLC! Bring sturdy work gloves. Some volunteers bring their own water bottles too. AGE REQUIREMENTS & WAIVER:
