Description:

Contribute to the meaningful work of Loaves and Fishes. Prepare for Meals on Wheels deliveries and serve a warm lunch to folks in need.

Tasks for Volunteers on the First Shift:  10 am to noon
Dish up meals for delivery
Serve meals on-site

Tasks for Volunteers on the Second Shift:  noon to 2 pm
Serve meals on-site
Clean-up afterwards

Loaves & Fishes operates 35 meal sites throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties. In addition to hot, nutritious lunches served Monday through Friday, many of our centers offer a wide variety of programs, from exercise to art classes to field trips and outings. Anyone over the age of 60, regardless of income, is invited to dine.

The noon meal supplies one-third to one-half of an older adult's daily nutrition requirements. Meals are provided on a donation basis to those age 60 and older.


This project is great for volunteers ages 14 and older. Volunteers under age 18 will need to bring a waiver signed by a Parent/Guardian; please click on the link below to download:
