| Saving Rivers One Tree at a Time |
Agency: City of Tualatin
Description:
Help support the Tualatin River Valley and have fun doing it. We will be planting trees along the bank of the Tualatin River. Many of the Douglas Fir trees along the river are at the end of their life cycle. You may have planted this area before. The long term goal of this project is to build a healthy canopy and it is important to have trees of different ages. We will be planting other trees and shrubs that thrive at different levels of the canopy. So stay in town and help out on your day off! Please wear appropriate clothing (closed toed shoes, jeans, rain jacket, etc.) and be ready for any kind of weather. This project will happen rain or shine. If you have gloves please bring them. Thanks for your support! This project is great volunteers ages 6 and up. Volunteers under age 18 will need to bring a waiver signed by a Parent/Guardian, click on the link below.
