Description:
Help us spruce up the Children's Section at the Hillsboro Public
Library! Volunteers will straighten shelves of books and other
materials, re-shelve books, read shelves to make sure books are in the
right order and shelve videos and other materials. To keep everything
bright, we'll be cleaning books of stickiness leftover from little hands and fingers! We'll also do some shelf shifting to spread the books out to occupy empty shelves, thereby making the sections less jammed. The mission of the Hillsboro Public Library is to provide materials and
services to help community residents of all ages and cultural
backgrounds to meet their informational, educational, professional, and
recreational needs. Materials are collected, organized, and made
conveniently accessible in various formats and ability levels. Services
are provided in a friendly and timely manner.
This project is open to volunteers age 14 and up. Volunteers under 18 must bring a waiver signed by a Parent/Guardian; please click on the link below to download:

This project is disability-friendly. The
library has wheelchair access and there will be projects available to
be done at a table. The project requires manual dexterity.
