The agency is a Hands On Greater Portland Partner. While we do work closely to ensure that the project will be meaningful, it does not follow the same format as a Hands On-managed project.

Referral: Recognition Event Volunteer

Agency: Ride Connection

Description: The celebration and honoring of volunteers serving Ride Connection or one of its partner agencies is a top priority. Annually, volunteers assist with the production of this event and come together to applaud the contributions of its large cadre of volunteers. This service is so valued because "All the human services in the world are useless if you can't get there."

Volunteers are the life-blood of Ride Connection, providing essential transportation to keep older adults and people with disabilities independent and mobile. Help celebrate the many volunteers that keep our vehicles in motion at our annual volunteer recognition luncheon. Volunteer help is needed to provide set-up and service talent to the attendees.
