Help Feed Your Community - Be a Pantry Donation Pickup Driver (age 21+) Referral

The Salvation Army's Food Pantry helps feed individuals and families in need of food. Volunteers can show compassion through the action of helping others. You can be a part of the solution by transporting much-needed food to the Salvation Army Pantry!

As a Pantry Donation Pickup Driver, you will drive a Salvation Army van to local markets. You will pick up donated food and transport it to the Salvation Army Pantry (requires lifting and moving of boxes). When you volunteer with the Salvation Army, you play a part in closing the hunger gap.

Location: Drivers needed on the Local West side of Washington County.
Time: Mornings 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
Commitment: One day a week. Choose any day, Mon-Sat, whatever works for you!

Volunteers Will Need:

  • Valid drivers license and pass a background check -- no personal vehicle required, as volunteers use the Salvation Army van.

  • Close-toed shoes.

  • Good driving skills.

  • Compassion to help.

  • Ability to interact with donor sites.

If you meet these requirements and have one free morning a week, you would be a great Pantry Volunteer Driver! To find out more, click on "Express Interest" below and you'll be connected to our volunteer coordinator.
