See us in action here!
All you need is a few hours each week and a commitment to make a difference.
You pick up pre-shopped groceries at the Hollywood Fred Meyer store in NE Portland on either Wednesday or Thursday late mornings/early afternoons and deliver them to clients in your own vehicle. We can reimburse you .50 per mile.
Our clients enjoy a quick visit as you help to put the groceries away. You are assigned the same clients each week so you have the opportunity to get to know them and establish a lasting, positive relationship.
For over 26 years, Store to Door has been the only local nonprofit that supports independent living for Portland-area seniors and people with disabilities by providing a low-cost, volunteer-based grocery shopping and delivery service.
Recognized for our Outstanding Nonprofit Volunteer Program – 2014 Governor’s Volunteer Award
Here's what clients have to say...
"Using Store to Door enables me to get fresh produce and to make better nutritional choices than if I went to the convenience store across the street." --Client
