Want to help women feel confident, strong, and empowered?
WomenStrength is a free violence prevention program with a 35 year success rate of teaching holistic self-defense to women and teenage girls all over Portland. This unique program was one of the first free rape prevention programs in the country. Classes and co-ed safety workshops are offered to schools, community centers and community organizations. Volunteers are needed to assist with the administration and operations of the program. Tasks include, but are not limited to, confirming class enrollments, data entry, filing, helping to organize and oversee publicity events at fairs and festivals, soliciting donations, assisting with the coordination of classes and programs and specific projects.
