Opportunity Details

Help Restore the Albert Kelly Natural Area (age 6+) *Hands On*

Hands On Managed projects offer you an opportunity to join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Volunteer Leader

Do you think nature is only found outside the city? Think again! Lend a hand in the Portland Parks Natural Area nearby Downtown Portland and enjoy your Saturday morning working outside and meeting others in our community!

About this Opportunity
Join Portland Parks & Recreation and the Bridlemile Neighborhood Association as we continue to enhance the riparian area at Albert Kelly Park. It's fun, close-in, accessible, and very important work. Volunteers will be pulling ivy and removing old fencing along the natural area. This is a family-friendly event and all are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Your time and effort will help keep this a high-quality natural area for people, native plants, and wildlife!

What to Bring and Wear
Please dress for the weather, wear long pants and sturdy closed-toe shoes, and bring a water bottle. Instructions, gloves, tools, and light refreshments will be provided.
