Share the Farmers' Market Love in Hillsboro (age 16+) Referral


Do you love the market? Love fresh, local produce, and supporting local businesses and community? Then help us by providing valuable support and interactions at the information booth and throughout the markets! 

Volunteer opportunities available include:

  • Farmers' Market Volunteer: Help the markets by setting-up/breaking-down market booths, posting market signage, assisting with market entrances and pre order pick ups as needed, sanitizing high touchpoints, and more!

  • Market Entrance Volunteer: Help customers shop the nmarkets safely by greeting customers at the market entrance, reminding customers of market rules, counting/tracking customers entering and exiting the market, communicating with the Market Manager and volunteer at the other entrance to ensure only 100 customers are in the market at all times, and more!

  • Pre Order Pick Up Volunteer: Help customers receive their market favorites by setting-up/breaking-down pick up station, organizing vendor items for customers to pick up, greeting customers at walk-up and curbside pick up, collecting customer orders and providing them to customers, and more!


Please wear comfortable, weather-and family-appropriate clothing, and closed-toe shoes at the markets. Safety is our top priority, here are some of our 2020 COVID-19 regulations (2021 regulations will be announced closer to market opening day)

-Properly worn face coverings by all market attendees
-6 ft social distancing
-Booth arrangement COVID Compliant
-Volunteer break area
-Hand sanitizer and washing stations throughout the market
-100 customer limit -Customer not to touch produce
-Stay home if you're sick
-Market office closed

Before your shifts are scheduled, you will be able to select the market day that is the best fit for them and receive more specific instructions. Please wear comfortable, weather- and family-appropriate clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers will check in at the Farmers Market information booth.

The Hillsboro Farmers' Markets run from April through October, and volunteer help is needed on Saturday or Sunday AM/PM. Come join the fun and help market visitors and vendors get all the info they need!

Hillsboro Farmers' Markets creates community gathering-places for people to buy local produce and products. We partner with farms, small businesses, and groups to provide education and resources. These efforts strive to enhance our community health and economic growth.

Opportunity Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
