Weed Warriors at Mt. Tabor Park (age 7+) *Hands On*
Become a Friends of Mt. Tabor Park as a Weed Warrior! Spend the morning outside at Mt. Tabor, a cinder cone volcano in SE Portland, and help restore the health of this unique park. The Weed Warriors will be removing invasive plants including Himalayan blackberry and English ivy.
Wear long pants, long sleeves and sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle and work gloves if you have them. All other tools will be supplied (including work gloves to borrow if you need them). Be prepared to have fun and feel good taking care of our Mt. Tabor Park.
The Friends of Mt Tabor Park works to improve and help maintain Mt Tabor Park for the benefit of individuals, organizations and the Park Bureau; to identify and help solve problems; and to participate in park planning projects. For more information: www.taborfriends.org
Due to extreme heat forecasted, work will be done in the shade. Also, masks are only required while instruction is given and not at the work site
The novel coronavirus ("COVID-19") is a contagious and potentially life-threatening disease. Reducing the spread of COVID-19 in our community is a shared responsibility. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 at Hands On volunteer activities, all volunteers are required to:

- Wash their hands, at a minimum, before and after their volunteering
- Maintain physical distancing while volunteering, to the extent practicable
- Wear a cloth or disposable face covering at all times while volunteering.

If you or any member of your household is experiencing any symptom of COVID-19, or has exhibited any symptom in the past 14 days, please do not sign up for a volunteer activity at this time. Please contact the Opportunity Coordinator if you have any questions about Hands On’s COVID-19 safety rules and the expectations for volunteers.
